Truth and Reconciliation Summit

On October 29-30 our Program Director Beckie Scott and Program Coordinator Laura Filipow attended the Truth and Reconciliation summit held at the Banff Center for the Arts. The summit was for participants, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous, to explore their roles in the reconciliation process and develop an approach for repairing Canada’s relationship with Aboriginal peoples.

The principal of Tsuu T’inna Nation High School, Jeff Hovarth was a keynote speaker at the summit. We have had the honor of working with Jeff at Tsuu T’inna for the last couple of years, and we are continually encouraged and humbled by the work that he does.
